Republic- Yvonne E. Paquette, age 74 longtime area resident, passed away on Saturday July 11, 2020 at the Trillium House while in the loving care of the Lake Superior Life Care & Hospice.

Yvonne was born in Michigamme Twp. on April 29, 1946, daughter of the late Willard and Doris (Stahl) Paquette. She graduated with her sister and her mother in 1980 and went on to work as a nurses aid and assisted elderly who could not care for themselves. She moved to Iowa briefly before returning back to the area and settled in Republic.

Yvonne was a member of the St. Augustine Catholic Church in Republic, the Ladies Auxiliary for many years, she was known to always dress up and look her best even if she was staying at home. Yvonne will be remembered for her extreme kindness, and gentleness. She was loved by many.

Yvonne is survived by 3 siblings- Willard "Pooper" Paquette, Trudy (Ken) Seppanen, Stacey (Brent Kovar) Paquette, 5 nieces and nephews- Laurie (Jim) Guidebeck, Kenneth (Dawn) Seppanen, Tracey (David) Whitaker, Theresa (Jake) Kulju, Travis Paquette, and 4 great nieces and nephews- Jordan, David, Samantha, and Audie. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers- Larry Paquette, Dennis "Butch" Paquette, and niece Amber Kulju.

Following Yvonne's wishes cremation will take place with a memorial service to follow at a later date.
