Ishpeming- Winifred "Billie" (Trebilcock) age 92 of 106 Arch St. Ishpeming, passed away Thursday, October 04, 2007 at her home, after a lengthy illness.
Winifred was born November 6, 1914 in Ishpeming to William & Eliza (Markert) Trebilcock. Winifred graduated from Ishpeming High School and received a bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan. She worked as a school teacher starting out in Mt. Morris, MI and retiring from the Ishpeming School District in 1978.
Billie was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church where she was active with the United Methodist Women. She was a member of the Eastern Star, earning her gold pin, and the "old" Wawonowin Country Club. Billie enjoyed knitting, baking, and loved to play the piano and bridge. She also was a special "Nana" to her grandchildren.
Billie is survived by 5 children: Judith (Kevin) Reilly of Marquette, Linda (William) Isaacson of Fraser, MI, Ann (Pete) Nault of Ishpeming, George Rudness of Ishpeming, who was a loving and devoted son, who cared for his mother at home for the past 25 years, and John Rudness of Winchester, TN, 6 grandchildren Megan Reilly, Stacey (Scot) Runke, Amy (Steve) Eby, Kevin (Julie) Isaacson, Peter (Jill) Nault Jr., and Kimberly (Chris) Ethridge, 9 great grandchildren, sister-in-law Mary Trebilcock of Ishpeming along with many nieces, nephews, and loving special friend and care-giver Diana Pitlanich. Billie was preceded in death by her husband George, a grandson, Andrew Nault, 4 sisters: Merle Malin, Verna Knappenberger, Dorothy Iseman and Ruth Superko, and a brother William Trebilcock.
Private funeral services will be held on Monday, October 8, 2007 at the Bjork & Zhulkie Funeral Home with Rev. Scott Lindenberg officiating. Interment will take place in the Ishpeming Cemetery.
