REPUBLIC, MI - Wilma E. DuMoulin, age 83, of Republic, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 26, 2026, at UP Health System – Marquette.
Wilma was born on November 2, 1942, in Rochester, New York, to Sonnie and Viola (Earl) Baguley. She was raised in Ontario, Canada, alongside her two sisters and attended the Delhi school system.
Following school, Wilma moved to the Jacksonville, Florida area to stay with family, enjoying the much warmer climate. She began working in a factory, and met her first husband, James Kellow, who was serving in the United States Navy. They married in Florida before settling in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, where James worked in the mining industry. They established their homestead in Republic, where Wilma lived for more than 60 years.
Later in life, Wilma married James DuMoulin, and together they shared many happy years until his passing.
Wilma worked for many years at the Republic IGA grocery store, where she became a familiar and friendly face to countless customers. More importantly, she devoted her life to her family. They enjoyed many road trips to Canada to visit family and treasured every opportunity to be "Grammy" to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A devoted Christian, Wilma was an active member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Republic. She served on the church council for several years, faithfully helped alongside the lunch ladies during church events, and found great joy in the fellowship of the quilting group. She was also an avid bowler and participated in numerous bowling leagues.
Those who knew Wilma will remember her kind heart, unwavering faith, and the warmth she shared with everyone she met. Her gentle expressions of "Okay, dear" and "Thank you, dear" reflected the love she freely gave to others. While she loved deeply, she was also known for her strong will.
Wilma is survived by her children, James (Elizabeth) Kellow, Carla (Anthony) Cvetkovich, and Bradley (MaryEllen) Kellow; her stepchildren, Barbara (Daryl) Tammelin, and Bryan DuMoulin; her grandchildren, Stephen (Alyssa) Clare, Thomas (Julia) Clare, Morgan (Adam) Kellow, Jordan, Jacob, Shawna, Kyle, and Kayla; her great-grandchildren, Stephen, Emberly, and Millie; her sisters, Francis (Andy) DeVrye and Wanda Nelson; and daughter-in-law, Terri DuMoulin; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Sonnie and Viola Baguley; her husband, James DuMoulin; her stepson, Jeffrey DuMoulin; and her brother-in-law, Andy DeVrye.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 9, 2026, at Bethany Lutheran Church in Republic. Visitation will take place from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 p.m., with Pastor Alex Ross officiating. A luncheon will immediately follow the service in the church fellowship hall. Interment will take place at the Republic Cemetery.
