Marquette, MI- William A. Stark, age 88 former Republic resident passed away Saturday, November 15, 2014 at the D.J. Jacobetti Home for Veterans in Marquette where he has been a resident since March 2008.

William was born October 27,1926 in Wauwatosa, WI to Harold & Mabel (Burgerson) Stark. He served his country in the US Navy during World War II and was stationed on the USS Conger, a Tench-class submarine.

Bill was a self employed entertainer, who was a wonderful musician and singer, he would travel around the country as a one man band. Bill enjoyed wintering in Florida during his retirement.

Bill is survived by six children: Charmaine Stark, Pamela Stark, Cheryl Zepp, Nancy Stark, Diane Stark and William Stark Jr., a sister Judith Kaddatz, along with 7 grandchildren.

Honoring William's request there will be no services.
