Ishpeming – William A. "Bill" Johnson, age 67 of 647 Iron St., Ishpeming passed away on Monday April 25, 2016 at UP Health System Marquette where he had been a patient for over 2 weeks.

Bill was born on September 4, 1948 in Wakefield, MI and raised by his parents Arvo and Gertrude (Cain) Johnson in Ishpeming. He was a graduate of the Ishpeming High School, Class of 1966 and spent most of his life in Ishpeming. He had briefly worked in Lansing, MI as a machinist in the steelmaking industry. Bill enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, trips to the casino and in his younger years loved bowling.

Bill is survived by his loving companion of the past 34 years Jean Topliff of Ishpeming, a step-son Scott Topliff of Negaunee and his former girlfriend Lori Niemi along with 5 grandchildren – Tristan, Merrick, Autumn, Anthony and Ian.

Family will greet relatives and friends for a time of remembrance from 1:00pm until 2:00pm on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at the Bjork & Zhulkie Funeral Home. A luncheon will follow at Jean's house at 647 Iron St. in Ishpeming.
