Ishpeming- William E. Frailing, age 81, longtime Ishpeming resident, peacefully passed away at his home in the early morning on Thursday July 6, 2023.

William was born on September 29, 1941 in Highland Park, IL, son of the late Lyle and Agnes (Paul) Frailing. He grew up in the Iron River area and graduated from Iron River High School with the class of 1960. Following graduation Wiliam served in the Oklahoma National Guard from 1961 until 1967. On November 24, 1962 he married his wife of 60 years Judith Thibodeau. William and Judith settled in Ishpeming where he established Frailing Electric in 1967. Working truly was his passion.

William was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Ishpeming Elks, he bowled in the Ishpeming Bowling League, and served on the board at TruNorth Credit Union. He like to fool around in his shop where he tinkered on things, made things, and enjoyed doing woodworking. In retirement William and Judy enjoyed wintering in Kingman, AZ. William was a proud sponsor of many local schools and churches.

William is survived by his wife- Judith (Thibodeau) Frailing, four children- Mark (Cathy Hebert) Frailing, Rick (Valerie) Frailing, Cindy (Jamie) LaFave, Jennifer (Jesse) Bozile, three siblings- Charlie (Joyce) Frailing, Brian (Dondee) Frailing, Mary Lou (Phil) Taufner, eight grandchildren- Christopher (Casey) Darling, Cody (Melissa) Darling, Jacob (Carli) Frailing, Victoria Frailing, Cole, Hunter, Logan, and Brody Bozile, three great grandchildren- Emmett, Harper, Lincoln, and baby Calin who is on the way, along with numerous cousins, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother- Gary Frailing, and step-sister- Dee Dee Uren.

William's family will greet relatives and friends from 10:00 am until 12:00 noon at the St. Joseph Catholic Church on Tuesday July 11, 2023. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 noon with Fr. Ryan Ford as celebrant. A luncheon will follow in the church hall.
