Obituary

Gwinn,- Mr. William Evart "Bill" Edington, 74, of 135 Albatross Gwinn , passed away, Wednesday, June 10th, 2009 at his home under the care of his family and UP Home Health & Hospice.

William was born in Owosso, Michigan on June 9, 1935, the son of the late Joseph and Helen (Turner) Edington. He worked as a field service technician for Hartman-Fabco in the Lansing area from 1979 until his retirement in 2003. He moved to the Upper Peninsula in 2005. Bill enjoyed raising horses on his farm, snowmobiling and also enjoyed hunting.

Bill is survived by his wife, Sydney (Dimond) Edington, whom he married on December 16, 1983; three sons, Doug (Brenda) Edington, Jeff (Sharon) Edington, Tim (Laurie) Edington; two stepdaughters, Katy (Nathan) Trottier and Christy Satterlee. William is also survived by seven sisters, Joann (Mike) Blancher, Jeanette (George) Chavez, Judy (Ron) Morse, Darlene Edington, Lynn (Mike) Moeggenberg, Marita (Terry) Rodgers, Marianne Edington; six brothers, Bob Edington, Jerry Edington, Jack Edington, Dennis (Sue) Edington, Don (Tammy) Edington, & David (Yolanda) Edington, along with several grandchildren and numerous nieces & nephews. Bill was preceded in death by two children, Pamela and Rod.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 noon on Monday, June 15th, at St Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. James Challancin officiating.

Friends are invited to call on Monday from11:00am-12:00noon. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ishpeming.
