Ishpeming- Wendy A. LaMere, longtime Ishpeming area resident, passed away on Friday September 11, 2026 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Green Bay surrounded by family, and hospital staff.

Wendy was born in Iron Mountain, MI on November 4, 1965, daughter of Barbara Bilow, and Larry LaMere. She was a graduate of Florence High School, class of 1984.

Wendy’s family will remember her for being a very devoted grandmother, her grandkids were her world and she was theirs.

Wendy is survived by her parents: Barbara (Ray) Jutila, Larry “Chipper” (Sandy) LaMere, 4 brothers: Larry, Randy, and Sean LaMere, 3 children: Heather (Caleb Reynolds) Clarke, Ashley (Josh) Petrovich, Johnathan Lawry, 2 grandchildren: Anthony and Chloe Clarke, longtime partner: Tom Swenor, along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, and step-father: George Kirby and brother: Kurt LaMere.

A private celebration of life to be held at a later date.
