Wayne Stanley Anderson, 85, passed away peacefully on May 23, 2026. Wayne was a beloved husband, brother, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Wayne was born on February 8, 1941 in De Smet, South Dakota; the son of Stanley and Louise Anderson. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Jacquie, and grandson, Christian. He is survived by his daughter, Robin (Chris), Grandchildren, Peyton (Annie), Amanda, and Arielle, great grandson Harlan, and brothers Gary, Loren (Larisa), and Lyle (Pat).

Wayne’s journey through life was marked by a deep commitment to his country, family and outdoor passions. He served in the Army from 1959-1965. Wayne was a proud Journalism graduate of South Dakota State University. He carried his education and love of learning throughout his life. He started his career at Miller Publishing in Golden Valley, MN. He dedicated the rest of his professional life to the Zinpro Corporation in Eden Prairie, MN, retiring in 2005 as the Communications Manager.

Wayne’s love for the outdoors, wildlife preservation, and training Golden Retrievers were the defining aspects of his life. He was a dedicated member of several Retriever Clubs in Minnesota and Georgia, including the Hennepin County Amateur Retriever Club (HCARC), Minnesota Field Trial Association (MFTA), Central Minnesota Retriever Club (CMRC), and Snowbird Retriever Club in Georgia. Wayne worked tirelessly maintaining his home and training property in Loretto, MN, where friends were always welcomed with open arms and a cold Budweiser. Wayne was an avid fan of the Minnesota Vikings, dreaming for a Superbowl run season after season.

Wayne was a man of profound integrity, whose kindness and generosity touched the lives of many. His unwavering dedication to his friends and community will be fondly remembered and missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him. A private service will take place, which has yet to be determined.
