Ishpeming Twp.- Virginia M. Mariuzza, age 92 of 970 Patriot St. Ishpeming Twp (North Lake location) passed away Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at the Teal Lake Senior Living Community while in the loving care of her family and UP Home Health & Hospice.

Virginia was born November 20, 1923 in Marquette to Andrew & Eva (Webb) Brewall. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School class of 1941. Virginia later went on to pursue her practical nursing degree and worked at Bell Memorial for 25 years, retiring in 1986. Virginia was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic.

Virginia is survived by 3 children: Doris Smith of Ishpeming, Vicky (Bruce) Laurila of Marquette and Michael (Jane) Mariuzza of Ishpeming, 6 grandchildren: Scott (Cathy) Smith, Tammy (Dominic) Carello, Angel (Matthew) Berg, Randy Laurila, Michael (Michelle) Mariuzza and Tony (Kristen) Mariuzza, 9 great grandchildren: Todd Carello, Alyssa Smith, Macy Berg, Derek Berg, Michael John, Matt, Mason, Avery & Luke Mariuzza, a brother Marvin (LeeAnn) Brewall of Marquette, brother in law Stanley Mager of Negaunee, along with nieces and nephews. Virginia was preceded in death by her husband Peter, grandson Todd Smith, great granddaughter Sydney Luke, sister Betty Mager and son in law Jerry Smith.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 5:00 pm on Friday February 26, 2016 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Ishpeming with Fr. Larry Van Damme as celebrant. Interment will take place in the Ishpeming Cemetery.

Virginia's family will greet relatives and friends on Friday at St. Johns Catholic Church from 3:00 pm until the time of service at 5:00 pm. A luncheon will follow the Mass at K/D Hall.

Pallbearers will be Virginia's grandchildren.
