Obituary
Ishpeming – Violet C. Yenore, age 92, ended earthly life on Sunday, March 18, 2007, surrounded by her family, at the home of her daughter at 2983 U.S.41 West, Ishpeming, where she had been residing for the past 16 months.
Violet was born October 3, 1914, in Ishpeming, MI the daughter of the late John M. and Elva (Peterson) Carlson. Violet worked as a seamstress at the H.W. Gossard Co. in Ishpeming for many years, and then for the NICE Community Schools as a food server at the Champion School prior to her retirement. A lifelong area resident and a member of the Bethany Lutheran Church, her life was spent caring for others including the various animals and birds that always found refuge and food at her home in Humboldt. Her joy was her God, her family, WHWL, and in earlier years, her sewing and berry picking.
Survivors include 3 daughters – Clara (John) Carlson of Ishpeming, Carol (Ross) Tresedder of Iron River and Mary (Steve) Bertucci of Ishpeming; 10 grandchildren – Elizabeth (Erick) Thompson, Mark (Lauri) Carlson, John (Joan) Carlson, Rebecca (Charles) Gauker, Ross (Connie) Tresedder, Terri (Shawn) O'Donnell, Larry (Lisa) Kirker, Jackie (Chris) LeFever, Jennie Bertucci and Steve Bertucci Jr.; 20 great grandchildren and a nieces Norine Kulie also survive. She was preceded in death by her husband Ernest Yenore, 2 sisters – Anna and Clara Carlson, a brother Clarence Carlson, and a son-in-law Larry Kirker.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday March 21, 2007 at the Bethany Lutheran Church in Ishpeming with the Rev. Warren Geier to officiate. Interment will take place at the Ishpeming Cemetery.
The family will greet friends and relatives from 10:00am until the time of services on Wednesday at the Bethany Lutheran Church.
