VIOLET I. ROBARE
Rhinelander, WI - Violet Pascoe-Bacon-Robare, age 94, longtime Ishpeming resident, passed away on Sunday Sept. 26, 2010 at the Friendly Village Nursing Home in Rhinelander, WI.
Violet was born November 23, 1915 in Ishpeming the daughter of the late Beatrice and Arthur Pascoe. Mrs. Robare was a lifelong resident of Ishpeming, until 2004 when she entered Friendly Village Nursing Home to be near her daughter Nancy. Mrs. Robare was a member of the Salisbury United Methodist Church, the Lady Elks, and the Women of the Moose. She was also a member of the Ishpeming VFW and the Bell Hospital Auxiliaries.
Survivors include her daughters Nancy (Don) Pallin of Harshaw WI, Melanie (Gary) Zick of Crestview, FL and Laurel (Ron) Logan of Green Bay, WI, along with her grandchildren, many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands - Walter Bacon and Lawrence Robare, sisters - Olive Anderson and Hazel Klok, brothers - William and Richard Pascoe and two grandsons - Gary Todd Zick and Don Reid Pallin.
Funeral services will be held at the Bjork & Zhulkie Funeral Home in Ishpeming at 1:00pm on Friday Oct. 1, 2010 with Pastor Terri Branstrom to officiate. Friends may call at Bjork & Zhulkie from 12 Noon until 1:00pm on Friday. Interment will take place at the Ishpeming Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Salisbury United Methodist Church in Violet's memory.
