Ishpeming- Viola S. Ninnis, age 69 of 513 N. Third St. Ishpeming, passed away Saturday May 3, 2014 at her home while under the loving care of her family and UP Home Health & Hospice.

Viola was born July 22, 1944 in Negaunee to Francis & Violet (Mager) Davis. Viola loved her grandchildren & great grandchildren, she lived for her grand-babies.

Viola is survived by 3 children: Tina Brozak, and Brooke McDonald both of Ishpemnig, Franny McDonald of Marquette, a step son Todd (Sue) Ninnis of Harvey, 5 grandchildren, Alicia (Adam) Syers, Amber (John) Chapman, Tony Chapman, Travis Brozak, and Sabrina Brozak, 7 great grandchildren Alex, Avalon, Antonio, Adam Jr, and Annwyn Syers, Avah & Jase Negilski, a brother Norman (Shelly) Davis, 2 sisters, Cathy (Terry) Wilson and Patty Anderson, sisters in law, Susan and Linda Davis, special nephews, Bobby (Elaine) Bess and Jeff Anderson, along with many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and her brother Butch Davis who passed away just minutes after Viola. Viola was preceded in death by her parents Francis and Violet, husband Paul Ninnis, a daughter Teresa McDonald, sisters, Norma (Lloyd) Bess, Donna (Vern) Posio, brothers, Arnold & William Davis and a great grandson Jackson Negilski.

Funeral services for Viola will be held 12:00 noon Wednesday May 7, 2014 at the Bjork & Zhulkie Funeral Home with Pastor Al Davis officiating. Interment will take place in the Ishpeming Cemetery.

Viola's family will greet relatives and friends on Wednesday at the Bjork & Zhulkie Funeral Home from 11:00am-12:00 noon.

Pallbearers will be Tony Chapman, Travis Brozak, Robert Bess, Brian Brozak, Jim Chapman and Adam Syers.
