Negaunee- Vickie Lynn (Austin) Jarvi, age 60 of 151 Rail Street Negaunee and long time Ishpeming resident passed away Tuesday November 22, 2016 at the Lighthouse at Ishpeming Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Ishpeming Township.

Vickie was born June 13, 1956 in Ishpeming to William & Annabelle (Rule) Austin. She graduated from Ishpeming High School, class of 1974. Vickie worked as an office and billing manger for Dr. Milton Soderberg in Marquette.

Vickie played in the Ishpeming Womens Pool League for many years, she enjoyed gardening, going to rummage sales to find treasures, taking rides in the woods or just spending time with family and friends. She will be missed by her dog "Bopper" and her cat "Genesis". Vickie was an avid Packer fan.

Vickie is survived by her husband Doug Jarvi of Negaunee, a son Louis (Jacqueline) Ayres of Marinette, WI, a sister Lee Ann (David) Racine of Ishpeming, 2 brothers: Daniel Richards & Paul Richards both of Ishpeming, step children: Matthew (Laura) Jarvi of Negaunee, Bethany (Brad) Perala and Lydia Jarvi both of Nashville, TN, grandchildren: Dekland Ayres, Tierra, Brooklyn and Braeden, along with nieces, nephews and cousins. Vickie was preceded in death by her mother & step father Annabelle & William "Jack" Richards.

A celebration of Vickie's life will be held on Friday November 25, 2016 from 10:00am until 12:00 noon at the Bjork & Zhulkie Funeral Home in Ishpeming where a prayer service will be held at 12:00 noon with Fr. Larry Van Damme officiating. A luncheon will follow at the K/D Hall at St. Johns Catholic Church in Ishpeming.
