Negaunee- Verna A. Kyllonen, age 71 of 43 Old Co. Rd. 480 Negaunee, passed away Tuesday, November 6, 2007 at the Marquette County Medical Care Facility in Ishpeming where she been a resident since October 30, 2007.

Verna was born April 3, 1936 in Ogema, WI to Albert & Haydee (Newforce) Bergman. Verna was a member of the Independent Apostolic Lutheran Church of Negaunee.

Verna is survived by her husband of 47 years Alex Kyllonen, 5 children: Carlene (William) Liubakka of Superior, WI, Cathy (Steven) Erola of Esko, MN, Curtis Kyllonen of Negaunee, Cory (Andrea) Kyllonen of Anoka, MN and Cindy (Wesley) DeGarmo of Marquette, 10 grandchildren: Ian (Vanessa), Lindsey, Molly, Kristine, Nils, Ryan, Tyler, Taylor, Ari, and Wesley Jr, a step granddaughter Danielle, a sister Edna Maatta of Ogema, 3 brothers: Robert Bergman of Ogema, Ralph (Joyce) Bergman of Grand Rapids, MN and Russell (Gladys) Bergman of Ogema, 2 half sisters: Miriam Busch and Eleanor Nuutinen both of Ashland, WI, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Verna was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Melvin Bergman.

Funeral services will be held 11:00a.m. Saturday, November 10, 2007 at the Independent Apostolic Lutheran Church, Co. Rd. 492, Negaunee with Ray Kovala officiating. Interment will take place at Northland Chapel Gardens.

Friends and relatives may call at the Independent Apostolic Lutheran Church on Friday, November 9, 2007 from 4:00-8:00p.m. and again on Saturday from 10:00a.m.until the time of service at 11:00a.m.

Pallbearers will be Mark Maatta, Jim Frankki, Ian & Nils Seppanen, Tyler Kyllonen and Ryan Erola.
