Obituary
Negaunee- Verna A. Hiller, age 85 of 151 Rail St. Negaunee, passed away Monday, November 15, 2010 at her home.
Verna was born October 18, 1925 in Iron Mountain to Louis & Eva (Nault) Hebert. Verna worked as a stock clerk for the Helwig Carbon Products factory in Milwaukee for 21 years. She lived in Milwaukee for 40 years, moving back to the Upper Peninsula in 2000. Verna was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ishpeming.
Verna is survived by 3 sisters: Evelyn Valella, Rita Lusardi and Marina (Alvar) Heikkila all of Ishpeming along with numerous nieces and nephews. Verna was preceded in death by her husband Edwin, 5 brothers: Leonard, Melvin, Clarence, Donald and Leo, 5 sisters: twins Dorothy DePetro, & Germaine Filizetti along with Medella Perttunen, Beulah Ringuette, and Gloria Tonge.
Funeral services will be held 11:00AM Thursday, November 18, 2010 at the Bjork & Zhulkie Funeral Home with Fr. James Challancin officiating. Interment will take place at Wisconsin Memorial Park in Brookfield, WI.
The family will greet relatives and friends at Bjork & Zhulkie Funeral Home on Thursday from 10:00am until the time of service at 11:00am.
