Ishpeming- Vera E. Rose, age 80 of 1505 Hollyhock St. Ishpeming, passed away Friday, April 15, 2011 at the Marquette County Medical Care Facility where she been a resident since March 29, 2011.

Vera was born April 12, 1931 in Ishpeming Twp to Charles & Aini (Mantynen) Ruohomaki. She graduated from Ishpeming High School, class of 1949. Vera worked for Michigan Bell Telephone for 25 years.

Vera was a member of the Bethel Lutheran Church. She enjoyed flower gardening, trips to the casino and was an avid Green Bay Packer Fan. Vera was a loving Aunt to her many nieces and nephews.

Vera is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Rose in 1998, 9 brothers: Walfred, Walter, Wilho, Wesley, Wallace, Wilhart, Wilbert, Hugo & Waino Ruohomaki, & 3 sisters: Vianna Johnson, Wilma Oysti and Violet Lupton.

Funeral services will be held 11:00AM Monday April 18, 2011 at the Bethel Lutheran Church in Ishpeming with Rev. Lauri O. Maki officiating. Interment will take place in the Ishpeming Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at the Bethel Lutheran Church on Monday from 10:00-11:00am.

Pallbearers will be Neil Oysti, Ralph Roberts, Jeff Steede, Peter Martell and Jeremy Levi.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Marquette County Medical Care Facility for the wonderful care given to Vera.
