Ishpeming - Udith "Sis" Kathleen (DeJonge) Stewart , age 75, passed away Wednesday 8 April 2015 in the Marquette County Medical Care Facility following a brain aneurism on Dec 25, 2008.

Udith was born in Ravenna, Michigan on 8 March 1940 to Ray and Iliene DeJonge. As a teenager Udith enjoyed bringing home "stray" animals and riding/breaking in horses. She attended Ravenna Schools of which she was very proud. As the beloved 4th child of 8, Udith enjoying spending time with her siblings over the years and being a part of their loving families hence her nickname of "Sis". She never met a stranger and was very giving to everyone.

In her adult life Udith shared her quilting, basket making, jam/pie making, wine making and gardening with her family and friends. She proudly completed her high school diploma at Kingsford High school in 2005 attending classes in basket weaving and computer science. Udith became an expert recurved bow hunter, hailing awards from the Michigan Bow Hunters Association was a Member of the Ravenna Conservation Club, and attended Guardian Angels Parish in Crystal Falls MI. She was voted Mrs. Ironworker 1993 at the Ironworkers festival.

Udith was a lover of life, family and friends! She never missed an opportunity to share and be part of a family member's life event sometimes even travelling around the world. In these selfless actions she has shown everyone the importance of taking time for family and friends.

She is survived by her 4 children - Mary Ann Perry (Reid) (Jack Wells), James Allen Reid, Kathleen Lynn Hall (Schultz) and Carl Stephen Schultz; her brother Richard (MaryAnn) "Rich" DeJonge, her sister Shirley (Bob) Hogan and her former spouses Victor Reid and Carl Schultz. She sang praise about her 8 grandchildren; Billie Jo (Ted) Krask (Perry), Andrew Perry, Lyndsey Reid (Michael Rivord), Brent Hall, Christopher Hall, Alexander Hall, Zachary Schultz and Samantha Schultz. She was blessed with 4 great grandchildren Frankie and Giovanni Krask, Haylee Schultz and Riley Perry. Udith was Step-mother to Ellsworth's children and grandmother and great grandmother to all his family, whom she loved. Udith was preceded in death by her husband Ellsworth Stewart, her beloved grandmother Hulda Klint, her parents Ray and Iliene DeJonge, her brothers Robert DeJonge, Ronald "Wart" DeJonge, Roger "Rod" DeJonge, Frederick "Fred" DeJonge and sister Evadeen Morey (DeJonge).

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Bjork and Zhulkie Funeral Home, Ishpeming, MI on Saturday May 9, 2015, with family greeting relatives and friends from 12noon – 2:00pm and memorial services officiated by Monsignor Peter Oberto at 2 pm.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to, Marquette County Medical Care Facility activities fund, Michigamme Kids Club or the Brain Aneurism Foundation, in memory of Udith would be appreciated. Udith's family would also like to thank the MCMCF for the excellent loving care that was provided to Udith during her 6 years of residence!
