Ishpeming, MI - Thomas E. Vickstrom, age 74, of 910 Cottage St., in North Lake Location passed away on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at his home after battling cancer.

Tom was born in Stambaugh, MI on January 17, 1949, a son of the late Marie C. (Bureau) and Edward C. Vickstrom. He was a graduate of the Ishpeming High School, Class of 1967. Following graduation Tom enlisted in the United States Navy and served during the Vietnam War Era. Tom worked for the Operating Engineers #324 for many years as a diesel mechanic and machine operator. He was a member of the Ishpeming Cribbage League and enjoyed fishing, hunting, snowmobiling and four-wheeling.

Survivors include his wife of the past 28 years, Darla Vickstrom of North Lake Loc., daughter, Tara (Joel) Heribacka of Sheboygan, WI, two sons, Joel (Sarah) Vickstrom and Jared (Betty) Vickstrom both of Ishpeming, two step-daughters, Staci Owens of Lone Tree, CO and Regina Benvenue of Chandler, AZ, 9 grandchildren, 2 great granddaughters, sister, Laurel (Joe) Urbaniak of Grand Forks, ND and two brothers, Richard (Anita) Vickstrom, of Marquette and Steven Vickstrom of Neenah, WI.

Per Tom's wishes, cremation has taken place, and a private interment will take place at the Holy Cross Cemetery in Marquette.
