Ishpeming- Thomas G. Peller, age 77, of Ishpeming, passed away on Thursday July 24, 2025 at UP Health System Marquette while in the loving care of his family, and hospital staff.

Thomas was born on November 5, 1947 in Sault Ste. Marie, MI, son of the late Thomas W. Peller and Catherine E. Pulda. He grew up in the Soo until his high school years when his family relocated to Ishpeming. Thomas graduated from Ishpeming High School with the class of 1965. Following graduation he enlisted in the United States Navy where he served in the Vietnam War from June of 1965 until his honorable discharge in November of 1968. He then went on study at Northern Michigan University where he earned his degree in Criminal Justice. Tom went on to work for Cliffs where he put in 25 years of service before his medical retirement in 1993.

Thomas enjoyed going on trips to the casino, watching sports, especially the Tigers, Lions, and the University of Michigan. He loved spending time with his grandkids, and spending time in the outdoors, being at camp, and hunting and fishing in his younger years.

Thomas is survived by 2 children- Mark (Vicki) Peller, Sherri Peller, 2 sisters- Teresa (Fred) Torreano, Marcia Peller, 4 grandchildren- Rachel Hanson, Leonard Hanson, Bradley Koski, Lily Peller, 11great grandchildren- Victavian Hanson, Hunter Hanson, Nevaeh Hanson, Karmah Brown, Serenity Brown, Hayden Dulany, Linneah Collins, Karlie Collins, Remmington Dulany, Eli Dulany, Lailah Stephens, along with numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by Parents, son- Bradley Peller, brothers- Mike Peller, Steve Peller, nephew- Cory Nelson.

Thomas' family will greet relatives and friends at the Bjork and Zhulkie Funeral Home from 11:00 am until 12:00 noon on Monday July 28, 2025. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 noon with Rev. Brandon Yanni officiating. Interment will take place following the service in the Ishpeming Cemetery where military honors will be accorded by the United States Navy and the American Legion Greenwood Post #114.
