Ishpeming- Suzanne E. Heilala, age 77 of 716 Wabash St. Ishpeming passed away Thursday, December 20, 2018 at The Lighthouse at Ishpeming Health and Rehabilitation Center while in the care of UP Home Health and Hospice.

Suzanne was born May 15, 1941 in Ishpeming to the late Russell T. and Lottie V. (Bess) Argall Sr.  She worked at the Mather Nursing Center in the dietary department for 20 years.

Suzanne enjoyed time spent with her family, sewing her own clothes, and had a good sense of humor, and will be remembered by her nieces and nephews as their silly and sassy Aunt.

Suzanne is survived by her husband Paul Heilala, whom she married on December 3, 1960, a son Theodore P. (Susan) Heilala of Ishpeming, 3 grandchildren: Christopher (Angela) Heilala, Ryan Heilala and Joseph (Jennifer) Heilala, 4 great grandchildren along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Suzanne was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers: Russell Jr and Joseph Argall, and 3 sisters: Jean Steede, Catherine Lietz and Nancy St. Aubin.

Honoring Suzanne wishes, a graveside service will be held at the Ishpeming Cemetery in the spring.
