Ishpeming - Susan C. Perry, age 88, of 608 E. High St. Ishpeming, passed away Sunday, May 30, 2021 at UP Health System Bell in Ishpeming.

Sue was born in Ishpeming on October 13, 1932, a daughter of the late Helen F. (DeRoche) and William T. Anderson. She grew up in North Lake Location, and was a graduate of the Ishpeming High School, Class of 1950. Sue married the late Allen Perry on Jan 13, 1951, and together they raised 5 children.  Sue worked as the School Secretary at CL Phelps Middle School for 30+ years, a job she truly loved. Many times Sue went above and beyond to help a school aged child who may have been in need.

Sue was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and had attended the Wesley United Methodist Church with her husband Allen where she was active with the Pasty Crew. She loved shopping, cherished her grandchildren, and enjoyed spending time with her family, which included coffee clutching with her sisters, brothers and even some extended family. Camping around the Upper Peninsula was always a favorite during the summer months. Sue will be remembered as a kind and compassionate soul to everyone that knew her.

Survivors include four sons - Michael (special friend Nancy) Perry of Ishpeming; Joseph (Cindy) Perry of Bluffton, OH; William Perry of Ishpeming; James (Lisa) Perry of Marquette; a daughter Cathy (Gerald) Melchiori of Marquette; 10 grandchildren – Rachael (Steven) Laurin, Rebecca (Nick) Sanchez, Joshua Perry, Katina (Toby) Campbell, Beth Perry, Jillian Perry, Jennifer (Justin) LePage, Jessica (Michael) Mayer, Jamie (Philip) Lindblom and Emma Melchiori, 17 great grandchildren; five sisters - Jean (Jim) Junak; Sheila (Tom) Thornton; Betty (Angelo) Bosio; Mary Jo (Larry) Bussone all of Ishpeming; and Frances (Joel) Schneider of Schaumberg, IL; a brother Terry (Carol) Anderson of Grand Junction, CO; sister-in-law Joan Luoma of Ishpeming; along with numerous nieces and nephews. Sue was preceded in death by her husband - Allen R. Perry in 2013; brothers - Neil Anderson and William "Studge" Anderson; sister Julie Trewhella and daughter-in-law Lorie Perry.

A Private Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ishpeming with Rev. Fr. Ryan Ford officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the St. Joseph Catholic Church Memorial Fund, 1889 Prairie Ave., Ishpeming, MI 49849.
