STANLEY E. DAVIS, Jr.
Ishpeming – The Lord called Stanley E. Davis, Jr. home on Monday, Dec. 30, 2013 while residing at the Mather Nursing Center in Ishpeming Twp.
Stanley was born September 21, 1945 in South Gate, CA the son of the late Stanley and Margaret (Fischer) Davis. Stan moved to IL in 1956, and graduated from the Antioch High School in 1962. He lived in Hollywood, CA for many years – His favorite place. He moved to Iron Mountain in 1973 to be near his sister and family, and had resided in the U.P. since that time, mostly in the Iron River area. Stan had resided at the Mather Nursing Center since May 15, 2012.
He was preceded in death by his parents, special aunts and uncles Clara & John Davis and Margaret & Paul Kelley and special angels in Stan's life – Peggy & Duane Dubey & Beth Haywood.
Stan was the beloved brother of Christine & Daniel Dubey of Ishpeming, and is also survived by cousins Joyce Gambrell of Charleston, SC, Larry (Sunni) Davis of Traverse City, MI, and Michael (Jean) Davis of Lufkin, TX along with special angels in Stan's life – David Haywood, Randy & Debbie Dubey, Diana Gurchinoff, Tina Maki, LaDena Schnapper and Shirley Youngren.
There will be a private memorial to celebrate Stan's life this summer at the family camp.
