Ishpeming- Sharon Sue Maynard age 71, of Ishpeming, passed away on Monday December 7, 2020 while in the loving care of her nurses at Mission Point of Ishpeming.

Sharon was born on February 17, 1949 in Ishpeming daughter of the late Oscar and Tynne Aho. She was raised in National Mine and graduated from National Mine High School in 1967. She married James Maynard and raised 4 children. They later divorced.

Sharon was an avid baker and her favorite place to be was in the kitchen. She was a deeply religious woman and was passionate about her Finnish heritage being a proud SISU. Sharon enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Sharon is survived by 4 children- James (Becky Palmer-Rose) Maynard Jr., Jeremy (Michelle) Maynard, Jeff (Viki Casanova) Maynard, Kristine Parsley, 10 grandchildren- Derrick (Kaylin) Maynard, Amanda (John) Wright, Joshua Letson, Abria Maynard, Kayleigh Green, Dylan Maynard, Abby Hall, Alley Hall, Lucas Maynard, Austin Maynard, 5 great grandchildren- Trevor Wright, Tessa Wright, Andrew Letson, Daniel Hoevker, and Milo Maynard. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister- Sheila Champion, and brother Calvin Aho.

Due to current COVID-19 restrictions a celebration of Sharon's life will be postponed until a later date.
