Severina was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ishpeming, where she had been active in the Ladies Guild. She had also been active in the Lady Elks. Sev will be remembered as a feisty Italian woman, who was a true fighter, along with being a great wife to her high school sweetheart Ed. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren, along with the neighborhood children who will always remember her gumball machine that sat in her front doorway. Sev was a proud supporter of the Ishpeming Hematites and the Green Bay Packers.
Survivors include her 3 children – Mary (Sam) Phillips of Tigard, OR, John (Cindi) Roose of Ishpeming and Susan (Michael) Nault of Fond du lac, WI; a sister Natalie (Jim) Lafreniere of Ishpeming, 6 grandchildren – Eddie (Laura) Phillips, Michelle Roose (Corey Schultz), Jamee (Jake) Gobert, Jennifer (Levi) Hietikko, Alicia (Dan) Friedberg and Ashley Nault; 6 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Dan Moll to officiate. Interment will take place at the Ishpeming Cemetery. A supper will follow the services in the church hall.
