Republic, MI- Scott Paul Saari, age 50, passed away on Thursday January 7th, 2021 at his home while in the loving care of his family, friends and UP Home Health and Hospice.

Scott was born in Ishpeming, MI on November 5th, 1970, a son of the late Darlene Ann (Tuomi) and Paul Patrick Saari. He graduated from Republic-Michigamme School, class of 1989.

Scott worked as a union electrician for the Local 906-IBEW Marquette.

Scott enjoyed spending time with family and friends, working on vehicles, his music, and spending time outdoors. He will always be remembered for his quick, witty humor, his love for Fords, and his love for his dogs, Sasha, Shotzee, Whiskey and Riley.

Scott is survived by the love of his life, Stacie Syrjala of Republic, 2 daughters, Ashley Saari of Hancock, MI, and Bryanna Saari of Republic, a sister Lisa (David) Royce of Republic, a brother Duane (Chelsea) of Republic, along with nieces, nephews, and cousins. Scott was preceded in death by his parents, Darlene and Paul Saari.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions a private family service will be held at the Bjork and Zhulkie Funeral Home with Rev. Alexander Ross officiating. Burial will take place in the Republic Township Cemetery in the spring.
