Ishpeming Twp. - Sandra L. Isola, age 63 of 250 S. Lilac St. Ishpeming Twp, passed away peacefully Friday, April 16, 2010 at her home.

Sandra was born April 20, 1946 in Laurium, MI to Chester L. & Marie (Coello) Butler. Sandy graduated from Dollar Bay High School. In 1965 she married James Isola and they moved from the Copper Country to Ishpeming in 1969. Sandy was a self-employed daycare provider for over 20 years.

Sandy was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and a member of the Ishpeming V.F.W. Auxiliary. Sandy enjoyed bowling and camping and spending time with her grandkids.

Sandy is survived by her husband James, 2 children: Julie (Doug) Kytola of Ishpeming and James (Dana) Isola of Hastings, MI, 4 grandchildren: Jamie Isola, James Isola, Kassey Kytola and Tori Isola, a sister Shirley (Ken) Reed of Tamarack and brother James (Pauline) Butler of Mason, along with several nieces and nephews. Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, a son Randy and daughter Lori Isola.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 5:00pm on Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Ishpeming with Fr. Greg Heikkala officiating. The family will greet friends at the church on Tuesday from 3:00pm until the time of service at 5:00pm.

Burial will take place at the Mount Calvary Cemetery in Lake Linden.
