Marquette, MI- Sandra J. LaBelle, age 76, Marquette resident, passed away on Friday, February 16, 2024, at her home while in the loving care of her family and Lake Superior Life Care & Hospice.

Sandra was born in Marquette, Michigan on April 28, 1947, a daughter of the late Elmer R. and Elizabeth A. Dagenais. Sandie graduated from Bishop Baraga High School, Class of 1965.

Sandie enjoyed crafts, playing Bunko, gardening, spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren.

Sandie is survived by her husband Danny J. LaBelle, they were together 44 years, and married  in Las Vegas, two sons; David (Renee) Woodward and Scott (Rene Cope) Woodward, six grandchildren Jeff Laakso, Jesse Woodward, Rebecca Woodward, Branden Woodward, Claire Woodward, and Taylor Woodward, 2 great grandchildren; Skylee and Landis Laakso, 3 sisters; Barbara Erickson, Debbie (Tom) Trotochaud, and Mary LeMaire, 2 brothers; Bob Dagenais and Tom (Janet Cobb) Dagenais, along with, nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members.

Sandie was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister Karen Marceau.

Sandie's family will greet relatives and friends from 12:00 noon – 2:00 pm on Thursday, February 29, 2024, at the Fassbender Swanson Hansen Funeral & Cremation Services 926 N. Third St. Marquette, where a memorial service will follow at 2:00 pm with Fr. Christian Flagstadt to officiate.

A luncheon will follow at the funeral home.

Sandie's family would like to give a special thank you to Cassie Sundberg, PA and her nurse Betty of Marquette Internal Medicine and Lake Superior Life Care & Hospice for the wonderful care given to Sandie.
