Obituary
Ishpeming- Samantha Lee Bonovich, age 19 of 1770 U.S. Hwy 41 W., Ishpeming passed away Friday August 1, 2014 as a result of an automobile accident.
Samantha was born in Ishpeming on May 18, 1995 to Shawn & Chandra (Currie) Bonovich. Sam graduated from Westwood High School, class of 2013. While in high school Sam was a member of the Drama Club, Key Club and Chorus. She currently was attending Northern Michigan University, studying to become an RN. Sam was also working as a cashier at Jubilee Foods.
Camping & fishing with Mom & Dad, going to movies, spending time with family and her close friends are a few of the things Sam enjoyed. She loved to be around babies and she will be missed by her canine companion Bodee.
Sam is survived by her parents Shawn & Chandra Bonovich of Ishpeming, grandparents: Terry & Sharon Currie of Champion and George & Barbara Bonovich of Green Bay, WI, Donna Carter of Colorado Springs, CO, great grandfather George Bonovich Sr. of Ishpeming, great grandmother Mary Bonovich of Grand Rapids, MN, aunts & uncles: Tammy Bonovich of Colorado Springs, Tim Bonovich of Eden Prairie, MN, Terry Currie of Champion and Brenda Currie of Ishpeming, cousins & best friends Brooke Bartol & Emma Currie, along with other cousins, her God Parents Otto & Rogie Luoma and many great aunts & great uncles and many friends.
Sam was preceded in death by great grandparents: Patricia Bonovich, Mike Bonovich, Gene & Viola Currie, Harry & Ida Rolstone along with other family members.
Funeral services for Sam will be held at 5:00pm on Wednesday August 6, 2014 at the Bjork & Zhulkie Funeral Home with Rev. D. Michael Carriere officiating.
Sam's family will greet relatives and friends at the Bjork and Zhulkie Funeral Home on Wednesday August 6th from 2:00pm until the time of service at 5:00pm.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Nathan Pohlman, Addi Hollinshead, Alaina Pepin, Christina Mariani, Emily Bertucci, Brooke Bartol, Emma Currie, & Whitney Barry.
A luncheon will be held at the Ely Twp Hall following the service.
