Ishpeming- Salvatore "Sammy" Tasson, age 87 of 787 S. Pine Street Ishpeming, passed away Wednesday April 15, 2015 at his home in Ishpeming.
Salvatore was born August 8, 1927 in Ishpeming to Michael & Teresa (Artusa) Tasson. He served his country in the US Navy during World War II. Sammy worked as a union plumber working for Plumbers Local 506. He was a member of St. Rocco's Society.
Sammy is survived by 2 children: John Tasson of Ishpeming and Mary Tasson of Weston, WI, 2 grandchildren: Jamie & Jason, 4 great grandchildren: Cameron, Carson, Rileigh, and Lila, 2 brothers Martin (Sue) Tasson and Angelo Tasson both of Ishpeming along with numerous nieces and nephews. Sammy was preceded in death by his parents, and several brothers & sisters.
Honoring Sam's wishes there will be no public service. Interment will take place in the Ishpeming Cemetery.
