Marquette, MI - Ruth L. "Dolly" Hintz, age 72, longtime Marquette resident, passed away on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at the Norlite Nursing Center where she had resided for nearly 2 years.

Ruth was born in Marquette on November 16, 1951, a daughter of the late Ruth (Hanninen) and James  Hintz. She was a graduate of the Ishpeming High School.  Ruth had worked at the H.W. Gossard Co. in Ishpeming and continued her education at  NMU where she received her degree as a registered nurse. She worked as a Nurses Aide at the Mather Nursing Center for several years. She will be remembered as a very private individual. She was a member of Silver Creek Church.

Ruth is  survived by a brother-in-law John Rader of Ishpeming, sister-in-law Joan Groom of Billings, MT, 2 nephews, John and Daniel Rader, niece Jasmine, and several cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister Sue Rader and 2 brothers, James and Martin Hintz.

A private graveside service will be held in the spring at the Ishpeming Cemetery.
