Ruth A. Fischer
Republic- Ruth A Fischer, age 72 of 174 Willow Dr. Apt 21 Republic, passed away Sunday, February 4, 2007 at her home in Republic.
Ruth was born July 14, 1934 in Republic to the late Eino & Ruth (Kotaniemi) Nyback. Ruth lived in the Watersmeet area from 1969 to 1996 when she moved back to Republic. Ruth enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and going to casinos.
Ruth is survived by a daughter Geri (Ron) Miller of Land O'Lakes, WI, 3 grandchildren: Jason Perry, Rachael (Ripcord) Verbist and Ryan Willey, 2 great grandchildren: Samantha & Hailee Verbist, 4 sisters: Elaine (Wayne) Hartman of Republic, June Ahtonen of Ishpeming, Lois Kayser of Trenary, and Mae Lamond of Republic, 3 brothers Reino, Ronnie & Raymond Nyback all of Republic, along with nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts & uncles. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Harold, a daughter Debra Willey, 3 sisters: Lorraine Rominiecki, Judith Mattson and Dorothy Nyback.
A memorial service will be held 11:00a.m. Friday, February 9, 2007 at the Bjork & Zhulkie Funeral Home with Rev. Katherine Finegan officiating.
Friends may call the Bjork & Zhulkie Funeral Home on Friday from 10:00a.m. until the time of service.
