Ishpeming – Ruth M. Aho, age 94, longtime Ishpeming Twp. resident passed away on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at the Marquette Co. Medical Care Facility in Ishpeming where she had resided for the past few years.

Ruth was born March 19, 1922 in Ishpeming the daughter of the late William L. and Agnes (Urquhart) Harris.  She grew up in Ishpeming and was a graduate of the Ishpeming High School, Class of 1939.  She married Toivo Aho and they had resided in Ishpeming Twp. for many years.  She was a member of the Grace Episcopal Church.  She and Toivo enjoyed traveling to many different locations during their lifetime.

She was preceded in death by her husband Toivo Aho in 1995.

A private graveside service will be held at Northland Chapel Gardens where Ruth will be interred next to Toivo.

A special thanks goes out to the staff at the Marquette Co. Medical Care Facility for their kind and compassionate care of Ruth these past few years.
