Ishpeming Twp, MI- Roy Sanfred Etelamaki, age 75, Ishpeming Township resident passed away Friday, January 7, 2022.

Roy was born in Ishpeming, Michigan on September 26, 1946, a son of the late Wilhart R. and Eleanor H. (Olson) Etelamaki. He graduated from Negaunee High School, Class of 1964 which he was valedictorian of his class. He received a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Michigan Tech in 1969.

Roy lived in the Lansing area most of his life working as an engineer for the State of Michigan for 34 years. Roy enjoyed fly fishing, turkey, and partridge hunting.

Roy is survived by three brothers, Glen (Ruth) Etelamaki, of Holt, MI; Gordon (Susan) Etelamaki, of Marysville, KS; and Rodney Etelamaki, of Palmer, along with nieces and nephews.

Honoring Roy's wishes, cremation will take place and there will be no public service for Roy.
