Harvey – Rosemarie A. Leece, age 73, of 422 Corning St. in Chocolay Twp. passed away on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 in the Emergency Room at Marquette General Hospital.

Rosemarie was born January 31, 1941 in Ishpeming the daughter of the late Clarence and Mabel (Laabs) Duhame. She was raised in Republic and was a graduate of the Republic High School, Class of 1958. Rosemarie worked for the Marquette Board of Light and Power as a Production Secretary for 20 years, retiring in 1996. She had resided in Harvey since 1968 and was a member of St. Louis the King Catholic Church. Rosemarie enjoyed knitting, crocheting and Swedish weaving.

Survivors include her husband of 50 years David Leece of Harvey, daughter Nancy Leece of Livonia, son Greg (Krystal) Leece of Belleville, brother Dean (Patricia) Duhame of Gladwin, 3 grandchildren – Katelyn Palmer, Alexander & Olivia Leece.

The family will greet relatives and friends from 12:00noon-1:00pm on Thursday, May 1, 2014 at the Bjork & Zhulkie Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 1:00pm on Thursday in the Bjork & Zhulkie Funeral Home with the Rev. Fr. Ben Paris to officiate. Inurnment will take place at the Negaunee Cemetery.
