Ishpeming – Rose A. Tasson, age 91 of 314 W. Division St., Ishpeming passed away on Sunday May 13, 2007 at the Mather Nursing Center in Ishpeming Twp. where she had resided since April 30th.


Rose was born June 9, 1915 in Ishpeming to the late Dominic and Rose (Nardi) Nardi. She attended the Ishpeming Public Schools and had owned and operated a beauty shop in Ishpeming for several years in the 1940's and early 1950's, following which she was a homemaker. Rose was a lifelong area resident and a member of the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.

Rose is survived by a son Francis Tasson of Ishpeming, a sister Virginia of Chicago, a brother Joseph of Chicago, along with several nephews and nieces. Rose was preceded in death by her Husband Francis Tasson in 1994, 3 sisters Helen Josephine Nardi, Stella Chapman and Grace LaBeau.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:00am on Wednesday May 16, 2007 at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Ishpeming with the Rev. Msgr. Peter Oberto to officiate. Interment will take place at the Ishpeming Cemetery.
