Ishpeming – Ronald J. Phillips, age 46, of 313 E. North St., Ishpeming passed away on Saturday March 24, 2018 in his sleep at his home in Ishpeming.

Ron was born January 15, 1972 in Ishpeming the son of William J. and the late Betty Jane (York) Phillips.  He grew up in Ishpeming and was a graduate of the Ishpeming High School, Class of 1990.  Ron spent most his years in Ishpeming, but had briefly lived in Florida and Ohio.  He had worked locally in the shipping and receiving department at Midway Rentals and Argonics.  He loved sports and was a big fan of the Green Bay Packers and the U of M Wolverines, and enjoyed the outdoors especially hunting and fishing.  Ron's dog Cooper was truly his best friend.

Ron is survived by his daughter Miranda (Phillip) Cobb of Ishpeming, his father William Phillips of Ishpeming, 2 sisters – Linda (David) Wommer of Ishpeming and Patricia Harrison of Folson, PA, brother William (Sandra) Phillips of Ishpeming, along with several nieces and nephews.

A private graveside service will be held at the Negaunee Cemetery at later date.
