Obituary

Ishpeming – Ronald K. Argall, age 82, of 305 Lawrence Ave., Ishpeming Twp., passed away on Friday September 25, 2015 at his home in which he and his wife had built. Ron had been under the loving care of his family and the Upper Peninsula Home Health and Hospice.

Ronald was born April 21, 1933 in Ishpeming the son of the late William and Clara (Lindberg) Argall. He was a graduate of the Ishpeming High School, Class of 1951. Ron served in the United States Navy from 1952 – 1956 with the Seabees. Ron had worked for the Cleveland Cliffs Iron Co. for 30+ years, retiring in 1992. While at Cliffs, Ron worked mainly as a welder at the Pioneer Pellet Plant, on the roving maintenance crew, and retired from the Tilden Mine.

Ron was a member of the Bethel Lutheran Church. He was also an avid outdoorsman and especially enjoyed fly fishing along with making his own fly rods and tying his own flies. Hunting and spending time at camp on the "AAA", and boating on Lake Superior where also pastimes of Ron's.

He is survived by 3 children – Gordon (Pamela) Argall of Coventry, RI, Daniel (Peggy) Argall of Cherry Valley, IL and Laurie (Pete) Lammi of Ishpeming; 2 brothers – William Argall of Ishpeming and Dennis (Donna) Argall of Coventry, RI, a daughter-in-law Pam Argall of Ishpeming; 10 grandchildren – Cheri Fera, Jillian Morse, Rebecca Argall, Lindsay Ladin, Leah Bergsten, Kelsey Argall, Brian Delongchamp, Tonya Karvonen, Katelyn Argall and Benjamin Argall, 15 great grandchildren along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his wife Louise Argall in Nov. 2, 2012 and a son Michael Argall on Sept. 8, 2012, along with 2 infant brothers.

The family will greet relatives and friends from 11:00am until 12:00noon on Wednesday Sept. 30, 2015 at the Bethel Lutheran Church in Ishpeming. Funeral services will follow at 12:00noon at the Bethel Lutheran Church with the Rev. Lauri O. Maki to officiate. Interment will take place at Northland Chapel Gardens where Military Honors will be accorded by the Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter #380. A luncheon will follow the services in the church hall. Pallbearers will be Gordon, Dan and Ben Argall, Pete Lammi and Brian Delongchamp.

Ron's family wishes to thank his nurse Paula with the Upper Peninsula Home Health and Hospice for her care and compassion shown to Ron during his illness.
