Ishpeming- Ronald Paul Wigg, age 78 former West Ishpeming resident passed away Sunday, July 14, 2013 at the Marquette County Medical Care Facility where he been a resident since March 2007.

Ron was born February 23, 1935 in Negaunee to William & Ellen Wigg. He graduated from Negaunee High School, class of 1953. Ron worked as a repairman and installation technician for AT&T for 30 years retiring in 1985.

Ron enjoyed hunting, throwing horseshoes, bowling, shooting pool, playing softball for Woody's Bay and golfing at Wawonowin Country Club where he was a member. He was also a member of the Negaunee ELK'S Lodge and Negaunee Rod & Gun Club.

Ron is survived by his sister Karen (Bill) Richards of Chicago, IL, 2 children: Kathy (Bob) Merrill and Michael (Kathie) Eliason both of Ishpeming, a niece Chris Richards of Chicago, a nephew Billy Richards of Schaumburg, IL, grandchildren: Heath (Teresa) Eliason of DeSoto, WI and Hayley (Matt) Pap of Verona, WI, great grandchildren: Emma Pap and Clare Eliason along with several cousins. Ron was preceded in death by his parents, wife Angela and brother William Wigg.

Ron's family will greet relatives and friends on Friday, July 19, 2013 from 1:00-2:00pm at the Bjork & Zhulkie Funeral Home where a memorial service will be held at 2:00pm with Rev Lauri O. Maki officiating. Inurnment will take place in the Ishpeming Cemetery.

A luncheon will be held at Japer Ridge in Ishpeming following the service.
