Tilden Twp, MI- Roland J. "Cooter" Larson, age 70, Tilden Twp passed away Saturday, October 23, 2021, at UP Health System Marquette, Marquette.

Roland was born in Ishpeming, Michigan on July 30, 1951, a son of the late Donald J and Beatrice (Oates) Larson.

Roland worked as a heavy equipment operator and truck driver for many years, he was self employed and in 2020 retired due to health reasons. Cooter provided trucking service to Payne and Dolan and Superior Paving.

Roland enjoyed spending time in his garage fixing anything and everything, spending time with family, surfing the web and TV watching.

Roland is survived by his wife Norma (Johnson) whom he married on April 19, 1969, 2 sons; Jeffrey (Brandi) Larson of Ishpeming and Steven (Rosemarie) Larson of Ishpeming, 3 sisters; Joyce (Steven) Haroski, Vickie (Nick) Lamere and Pam (Gary) Belongia, a brother, Josh (Deb) Larson, grandchildren;  Bethany, Kaitlyn, Cristine, Toni (Luke), Cora (Armando), Jacob, Caleb, Brooke, Bree, Brylea, 2  great grandchildren: Brysen, and Vivian, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Roland was preceded in death by his parents Don and Beatrice Larson, in laws, Roy and Pearl Johnson and grandson Austen Larson.

A Celebration of Roland's life will be held from 1:00 – 3:00 pm on Friday, October 29, 2021, at the Bjork and Zhulkie Funeral Home.
