Obituary

Roger Harold "Shadow" Sundberg, age 79, formerly of 106 Oak
St., Ishpeming, passed away peacefully Wednesday morning, January 16,
2008, at the D.J. Jacobetti Home for Veterans where he had been a
patient since 2001.

Roger was born October 23, 1929 in Ishpeming to Ernest L. and Rose
(Pidgeon) Sundberg. He graduated from Ishpeming High School, class of
1949. After graduation he enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving in the
Korean War from 1951 through 1957. Roger worked for the Marquette
County Road Commission. He was a life member of the Ishpeming VFW
Post #04573. He was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church. Roger loved to hunt and fish and enjoyed spending time with friends and
family at camp.

Roger is survived by his wife, Marie Sundberg, whom he married on June
20th, 1981, step children Ann (Robert) Mankiewicz, Nannette (Scott)
Mason, Debbra (Tim) Martin, Penny (Richard) Harter, Jeffrey (Tammy)
Martin, William (Betty) Fortin, Alfred Keefer, Jennifer Hough, a long
with many grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins, a sister Phyllis
(Robert) Anderson and a brother Leo (Charlotte) Sundberg of Ishpeming.
His parents, and his brother Paul E. Sundberg preceded Roger in death.

A Memorial Service will be held at on Wednesday January 30, 2008 in
the Chapel at the D.J. Jacobetti Home for Veterans in Marquette.
Additional service and Inurnment will take place in the St. Joseph's
Church and the Ishpeming Cemetery in the spring.
