Rockford, MI- Rodney Walter Tuttila, age 73 of Rockford, MI passed away February 11, 2016.

Rodney was born September 29, 1942 in Ishpeming to Walter and Vieno (Salo) Tuttila. He graduated from Ishpeming High School in 1960 and received a BS degree from Northern Michigan University.

Rod worked in the banking industry and was employed as a Bank Examiner for the FDIC for 32 years and prior to college, worked for the Miners First National Bank in Ishpeming. Rod enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and will be missed by all who knew him.

Rod is survived by his wife of 38 years, Pamela, daughters: Chris Geiger (Jay Meyer), Cathy (Andrew) Radloff, son Joseph (Donna) Geiger, three grandchildren: Blake Mueller, Demie Geiger and Madelyn Geiger, sister Arlene Tuttila of Marquette, several nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents, Rod is predeceased by a brother Gary Tuttila and nephew Bradley DeBolt.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday June 11, 2016 at the Bethel Lutheran Church in Ishpeming with Rev. Lauri O. Maki officiating. Rod's family will greet relatives and friends for one hour prior to the service at Bethel Lutheran Church.

A luncheon will be held in the church fellowship hall following the service.
