Ishpeming- Robert "Nuz" Waters, age 75 of 680 Co. Rd. CPA Ishpeming went to be with the Lord on Monday May 15, 2017 surrounded by his family at UP Health System Marquette.

Nuz was born May 7, 1942 to Robert and Dora (Sleeman) Waters, in Negaunee.  He grew up in National Mine, graduating in 1960 from National Mine High School.   He married Kathleen Toivonen on November 5, 1977.

Nuz held numerous jobs, known to be a jack of all trades and a master of none.  He worked at Francis A. Bell Memorial Hospital for over 30 years in the maintenance department.  He was well liked and respected for his ability to repair almost anything.

Nuz leaves behind his loving wife Kathleen Waters, a son Christopher Salo of Negaunee, a daughter Pamela (Daniel) Pohlman of Marquette, a grandson Tyler Quayle, also brother Brad (Robin) Waters of Ishpeming, sister Julie Waters of Laurel, MD, father in law Marvin Toivonen of Ishpeming, brother in law John Kemppainen of Talbott, TN,  nephews: Rich & Robert Kemppainen, Warren and Bradley Waters and special furry sidekick Emmy.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Dora Waters, sister Barbara Kemppainen and mother in law Pauline Toivonen.

Nuz's family will greet relatives and friends from 10:00-11:00 am on Friday May 19, 2017 at the Bjork & Zhulkie Funeral Home with a time to celebrate his life and share memories at 11:00 am, and a potluck luncheon to follow at the Ely Township Hall.

Honorary pallbearers will be Roger Christian, Jim Grove, Robert Morcom, Bruce Manty, Ronald Talabacka, Louie Mitchell and Jeff Bickers.
