Ishpeming Twp- Robert G. "Rob" Fansler, age 42 of 1820 Christine St. Ishpeming, passed away of an apparent heart attack on Sunday, January 9, 2011 at the Bell Hospital in Ishpeming.

Robert was born February 11, 1968 in Grand Rapids, MI to the late Robert E. & Elizabeth M. (Hinkle) Fansler. Rob graduated from Allendale High School. He married Kristi (Jestila) on March 25, 2000, and they moved to Ishpeming in July 2009.

Rob had a great passion for music; he enjoyed listing to music and playing the guitar. He also enjoyed bowling.

Rob is survived by his wife Kristi Fansler of Ishpeming, a son Robert "Bubba" Fansler, 2 sisters: Cindy (Frank) Erdelt of Placido, TX and Angela (Rod) Taylor of Belding, MI, nieces and nephews: Dawn Eding, Brian Wedeven, Elizabeth Brandt and Jeffrey Brandt, and 4 great nieces: Marissa, Brenna, Jacklynn and Emily. Rob was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held 3:00PM Saturday, January 15, 2011 at the Bjork & Zhulkie Funeral Home in Ishpeming with Rev. Terry Cathcart officiating. The family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 12:00 noon until the time of service at 3:00PM.

A luncheon will be held at Calvary Baptist Church in Negaunee at 4:30 pm following the funeral service
