Marquette – Robert S. Chapman, age 63, of 2262 Norwood St. (Ontario House) Marquette passed away on Wednesday July 20, 2011 at his home and in the loving care of the staff at the Ontario House who made his life richer, and the Upper Peninsula Home Health and Hospice.


Robert was born February 5, 1948 in Ishpeming the son of the late Sidney R. and Ruth M (Flath) Chapman. He grew up in Ishpeming attending the Ishpeming Public Schools. Robert enjoyed going for rides, eating at local restaurants, trips to the theater, and time spent at the Pathways activity center.

Robert is survived by a brother: Anthony Chapman of Marquette, 2 nieces: Jennifer L White of Vacaville, California, Elizabeth M.(Eddie) Clements of Anchorage, Alaska, a nephew: Keith A. Chapman of Ann Arbor, and great nieces and nephews: Israel and Isabelle White, Eddie Jr., Eva Marie, Abrum A. Clements, and Landon Chapman. Robert was preceded in death by a brother George Chapman in 2008 and a sister-in-law: Rhonda C. Chapman.


Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm on Monday July 25, 2011 at the Bjork & Zhulkie Funeral Home with the Pastor Ron Libey to officiate. Visitation will be at the Bjork & Zhulkie Funeral Home from 12:00noon until 1:00pm on Monday. Interment will take place at the Ishpeming Cemetery.
