Republic, MI- Robert D. Bourn, age 61 of 585 E. Republic Ave, Republic, passed away Thursday, March 18, 2010 under the loving care of his family and Lake Superior Hospice.

Robert was born December 20, 1948 in Elkhart, IN to Charles & Shirley (Shaw) Bourn. Bob worked in the family plastering business, Bourn & Sons' Plastering in Elkhart and later worked as a logger in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, where he lived in Republic for the past 38 years.

Bob was and avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed hunting, fishing, picking mushrooms & he played pool in the local old timers league. Bob will be missed by his family and friends and his canine companion "Sancho."

Bob is survived by his wife Terri (Leers) Bourn of Republic, 3 children: Tracey Bourn of Sarasota, FL, Robert (fiancée' Kayce) Bourn of Green Bay and Angie (Bernardo) Calvillo of Green Bay, 2 brothers: Ronald (Bonnie) Bourn of Constantine, MI and Timothy Bourn of Union, MI, 7 grandchildren: Brandon, Colton, Marissa, Haley, Dario, Brooke and Rileigh, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded in death by his parents.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00PM Saturday, March 20, 2010 at the Bjork & Zhulkie Funeral Home in Ishpeming, MI with Deacon David P. Adler officiating. The family will greet friends and relatives at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00AM until the time of service at 1:00PM.
