Obituary
Ishpeming- Richard Laitinen, age 60, Ishpeming resident passed away Monday August 22, 2016 at the Mather Nursing Center.
Richard was born December 15, 1955 in Ishpeming to John & Anita (Steinmetz) Laitinen. He attended St. Johns Catholic School in Ishpeming and graduated from Ishpeming High School in 1974. Richard worked as a wastewater technician.
Richard is survived by a sister Judy Holappa of Rochester, MN, a sister Rita, nieces: Sherri (John) McMeeking and Mardi (Michael) Wilson, and a nephew Daniel Holappa. Richard was preceded in death by his parents John & Anita Laitinen, and brother-in-law Donald Holappa.
A prayer service will be held at 11:00AM, Saturday, September 3, 2016 at the Bjork & Zhulkie Funeral Home in Ishpeming with Fr. Larry Van Damme officiating. Richard's family will greet relatives and friends one hour prior to the service.
