Ishpeming, MI - Richard D. "Dick E Bird" Bunce, age 60, of 138 Angeline St., Ishpeming, passed away on Friday, December 2, 2022, of natural causes at his home in Ishpeming.

Dicky was born in Hibbing, MN on August 1, 1962, a son of the late Jocelyn (Vermillia) and Lloyd C. Bunce. He moved with his family to Ishpeming in his youth and was a graduate of the Ishpeming High School, Class of 1980. He loved to play the bass guitar and played with the George Brown Band. He worked as a roadie for Da Yoopers for several years and cherished his time with them especially when on stage.  In recent years Dick did maintenance work for Douglas Fitzpatrick. Dicky enjoyed fishing and playing games on his computer / iPad.

Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Carol J (Hill) Bunce; stepdaughter, Jessica (Billy) Wrest; stepsons, Justin Saari and Aaron Saari all of Ishpeming; three sisters, Cecelia Korpi and Ruth Scarborough both of Ishpeming; and Susan (Joe) Youren of Marquette; three brothers, Randy Bunce and Clem Bunce both of Ishpeming; and Art Bunce of St. Paul, MN; brother-in-law Donald Feltus of Nashwauk, MN; along with numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Bill Bunce and sister Barb Feltus.

Per Dicky's wishes, cremation will take place and a celebration of his life will take place at a later date.
