Marquette – Richard H. Bode age 87 formerly of Florida, passed away on January 13, 2017 at the D.J. Jacobetti Home for Veterans.

Richard was born on November 30, 1929 in Detroit, MI to the late Fred and Mildred (Juergens) Bode. Richard graduated high school in 1947 and worked as a loan officer for the National Bank of Detroit for several years before moving to Green Valley, AZ and then to Florida where he most recently resided before moving to the Jacobetti Home for Veterans. Richard was an avid reader, he loved golfing, hunting pheasant with his Irish Setters, and he enjoyed cars, most notably his '57 Chevy Bel Air.

Richard is survived by his two children- Donald (Linda) Bode of Negaunee, Dale (Debbie) Bode of Wixom, MI, two grandchildren- Christopher Bode, and Kelli Bode. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Dorothy Robinson, a brother-in-law Robert Robinson, and his wife who he loved dearly, Dora.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the D.J. Jacobetti Home for Veterans in Marquette.
