Ishpeming – Richard M. Beun, age 58, of 223 W. Barnum St., Ishpeming passed away early Saturday morning, May 2, 2015 at his home following a courageous battle with cancer the past two years.

Rick was born November 19, 1956 in Detroit the son of the late Oscar and Lillian (Vaillancourt) Beun. Rick had a 42 year love affair with his wife Theresa V. (Hanks) Beun to whom he had been married to for the past 32 years. Rick worked as a design engineer mainly in the automotive industry, working as a draftsman, in mapping and tooling, and as checker of design.

Rick relocated to the Upper Peninsula 17 years ago, with the past 12 being spent in Ishpeming. He was an avid comic book collector since age 12. His love of music was incredible, especially for the drums which he enjoyed to play. Rick was also an avid reader and artist. He had a love for the outdoors enjoying camping, hiking and seeking out waterfalls.

Survivors include his wife Theresa V. Beun of Ishpeming; 2 sons – Richard W. (Chanda) Beun, Barre, VT, and Tyler M. (fiancée Larissa) Beun of Ishpeming; 3 brothers Robert, Roger and Ronald Beun; 3 grandchildren; along with several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.

Per Rick's wishes cremation will take place with private family services to be held.
